With over two decades of executive leadership in human resources, Roy Day is a dynamic and results-driven professional specializing in people operations across diverse industries, including non-profit, healthcare, behavioral health, private equity, and startups. A proven architect of high-performing HR functions, Roy has successfully built and led HR teams supporting organizations ranging from 250 to over 5,000 employees, consistently driving operational efficiency and cultural transformation.

Prior to joining Bancroft, Roy served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Resources for Human Development (RHD), Roy spearheaded HR strategies for a 4,000-employee, multi-state nonprofit, delivering impactful cost-containment measures, talent acquisition enhancements, and strategic restructuring initiatives. His leadership generated significant savings, optimized HR systems, and ensured seamless integration during organizational transitions.

Roy’s tenure at SYFS Inc. saw him rise to Chief Culture, Diversity & Inclusion Officer, where he established a national culture committee, conducted inclusive leadership training for over 245 leaders, and championed DEI initiatives that reshaped company culture. As Vice President of Human Resources, he led a 44-member HR team, overseeing large-scale M&A integrations, reducing employee legal costs by over $800,000, and driving workforce strategies that improved retention and employee engagement.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Human Resources Management from Virginia State University and holds a certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University.
