A private nonprofit organization founded in 1973, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA), is a large agency that is part of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) nationwide network. Founded as a result of the federal Older Americans Act, the AAAs are mandated to “facilitate the area-wide development and implementation of a comprehensive, coordinated system for providing long-term care in home and community-based settings, in a manner responsive to the needs and preferences of older individuals and their family caregivers.” PCA carries out this mission through advocacy, stewardship of public funding, planning, development and administration of programs, and service coordination.

Established in 1967, French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to working with landowners, townships, foundations and the state and county to permanently preserve land in the community primarily through conservation easements that benefit public interest. Their dedicated efforts have resulted in the creation of parkland and the preservation and protection of more than 13,500 acres of environmentally sensitive land in beautiful northern Chester County.
CSBNP is a seven member consortium which includes Montgomery County Community College, a 2-year college (MC3); Gwynedd Mercy University, a 4-year university (GMercyU); Manna on Main Street, a full-service food pantry in Lansdale, PA which delivers food remotely ordered on-line by students at the MC3’s Blue Bell and GMercyU’s Gwynedd Valley campuses; Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities, which provides remotely ordered food for students at MC3’s Pottstown campus; Family Promise Montco, a provider of affordable housing and food pantry services; Montco Anti-Hunger Network, a network of Montgomery County food pantries; and Your Way Home Montgomery County, a public/private affordable housing organization.
Pearl S. Buck International, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization located near Philadelphia in upper Bucks County, PA, carries on Pearl S. Buck’s legacy of bridging cultures and changing lives through humanitarian aid, intercultural education, and historical tours of the Pearl S. Buck House, a National Historic Landmark museum.

Uplift Center for Grieving Children (formerly The Center for Grieving Children) was founded in 1995 by the Bereavement Program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and incorporated as an independent nonprofit in 2000. Uplift offers therapeutic peer support groups for thousands of children and teens annually in grades K-12th who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives due to any cause. Peer support and a caring adult presence helps to reduce the feelings of isolation and loneliness that children often experience after the death of a loved one.
